Stress is very real, but the way we understand and deal with stress is based on mythology more than fact. As an ActivInsight Academy member, you'll discover why stressors don't exist,
how the myth of “good stress” was born, and why stress management tools like exercise, relaxation, and breathing, though important, offer only temporary relief.
You’ll learn why stress never comes from circumstances directly, no matter how dire they may seem, and why resilience isn’t about toughness or bouncing back from adversity, but about insight.
Next, you'll look at the way we’ve traditionally approached change...
Why do some clients change more slowly than others?
As part of ActivInsight Facilitator Training, you'll explore the same new model for change that regular ActivInsight Academy members learn (including why T Rex is pictured below), but you'll also have access to advanced materials exploring ActivInsight in greater depth.
We'll compare ActivInsight to the work of Albert Ellis, Aaron Beck, Byron Katie, Robert Kegan, and other names familiar to those who facilitate change for a living, so you see how this tool approaches change from a different yet complementary direction.
Through a combination of streamed and live content just for Facilitators,
you'll review case studies of ActivInsight. You'll have access to special forums where you can share your own experiences facilitating ActivInsight, and ask questions of others using this tool to accelerate breakthroughs. And you'll have
time to engage in and master the most important part of the program: an eye-opening education
in the Art of Insight...
Teach clients to have mind-clearing insights into any challenge
Insight is the birth of deeper understanding. ActivInsight distills the essence of insight into seven simple steps. In the ActivInsight Academy, you’ll learn where these steps came from, how to use them, and what makes them different from other cognitive tools in your toolkit.
Then you’ll learn how to apply these seven steps to a wide range of challenges, including leadership and management issues, money & success, relationships, health & disease, weight loss, diversity, work-llife balance, family conflict, and more.
The curriculum serves two purposes: First, it helps you transform any challenges in your own life (after all, facilitators are people too). And secondly, it teaches you how to skillfully coach others with ActivInsight — phrasing statements in Step 1, sequencing different topics, presenting suggestions in Step 5 so the client has deeper insights, and more.
All AFT participants begin as regular Academy members. Once you have mastered the basics of Activinsight, you will become eligible for training as a facilitator.
The ActivInsight Academy will launch soon. To receive notification, join the Facebook group for ActivInsight by clicking the Facebook icon, or follow us on Twitter. Or you can join the mailing list.
The Academy is new, but ActivInsight has been around since 2004 helping thousands of people live with less stress:
"Enormously positive, useful, tangible ways of thinking differently, and real ways of solving differences. I feel much more wise at work already. Wishing I had done this when I began my career."
- Citigroup"Eye-opening on changing your perspective when dealing with tough issues and solving them."
- Bank of America Merrill Lynch"An excellent introduction to resiliency. If practiced well, it can tremendously reduce the burden of stress at work and home."
- Johnson & Johnson"Groundbreaking. This was the first time I've been given a logical, step-by-step process to get from the beginning point to the end point of changed awareness without being intimidating or too New Agey."
- 20th Century Fox"This was by far the most useful, provocative, and fascinating seminar I have ever participated in. It's not nonsense, it's not a Band-Aid, it's just smart, tangible, and something that can be implemented across the board."
- Ogilvy & Mather"A clear, concise way to deal with challenges, with practical applications and immediate results."
- Coca-Cola"I needed practical tactics for changing my behavior. I turned to Andrew Bernstein, founder of a process called [ActivInsight]. How was insight different from just understanding something on an intellectual level? I would soon find out..."
- O: The Oprah Magazine
The Academy will launch with free membership including Basic Training so that people who are curious about ActivInsight can learn how to do it at no charge and with no risk. Facilitator Training will become available later as a paid option for members who have successfully completed Basic Training and are interested in using ActivInsight to facilitate change in others.
We’re almost ready to launch. Click the Facebook, Twitter, or mailing list icons to be notified when we do.
